Since Tripathi’s family decided against having him cremated, a sizable police presence has been established close to his home in the Sakhauli Kalan hamlet in the Lambhua tehsil.

The doctor had bought a piece of land from Ajay Narayan Singh, the primary suspect in the murder investigation, according to Superintendent of Police Somen Barma, who made the revelation to reporters on Sunday.

According to Barma, “the accused were demanding more money and refusing to give the doctor possession of the land.”

The size and cost of the land were not disclosed by the police, though.

According to the doctor’s wife Nisha Tripathi on Saturday, there was “commotion” about the deceased’s purchase of a piece of land that was situated behind a Saraswati Shishu Mandir every day.

According to the SP, three people have been detained in connection with the case, and four squads have been sent out to find the suspect.

He stated that the e-rickshaw driver who had taken the hurt doctor to his home was also being questioned.

Nisha Tripathi, the doctor’s wife, said on Saturday that her husband was slain by “some people who live in Narayanpur” over a property dispute.

“In the evening, my husband grabbed $3,000 from me and claimed money was for someone who was drawing a map. After eating some food, he departed the house before returning in a rickshaw some time later in a hurt state,” she stated.

She said that her late husband, who passed away in a hospital while receiving treatment, was beaten by Jagdish Narayan Singh, a resident of Narayanpur.

On Sunday, District Magistrate Jasjeet Kaur called a meeting to discuss this.
